OUR STORY

Rue Auber Antiques  is a carefully-curated collection of fine art, antiques and unique objects with examples from ancient to post modern. Celebrating form, whimsy, function and color, partners Richard Auber and Tatyana Nivina channel their experience and training as artists and historians to define the aesthetic of Rue Auber Antiques and to ensure the intrinsic value each of our offerings.

Richard Auber has been in the antiques business for 30 years as a collector and restorer of fine furniture.  Tatyana Nivina joined Rue Auber Antiques  in 1994 bringing with her a sharp eye for art, form design and function following her graduation from the School of Industrial Art in Kiev, Ukraine.

Always on the prowl for their next great find, Richard and Tatyana welcome inquiries regarding the sale of individual items or entire collections.  Whether buying at auction in New York  or from a tiny antique shop in the French coutyside,  a fair price is offered, paid passed along to our customers--many of whom are dealers themselves.

Visitors to Stonington, Connecticut are always welcome and buyers may also find it convenient to meet Richard and Tatyana at one of the national shows where they setup regularly including Marburger Farm in Roundtop, Texas, Scott's Antique Market in Atlanta, Georga and the Antique and Design Center in Highpoint, North Carolina.
